Garden news

The planting workshops, which took place in all the flower gardens of Chenonceau Castle on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5thJune 2011 as part of the “Garden meeting event”, provided a fun beginner’s course in controlled cultivation to numerous gardeners. Children between the age of 7 and 12 cheerfully took over a garden plot that had set up especially for them to use.

Summer floral decorations meeting

Special care is taken in growing flowers around the castle and there are always different themes. The flower workshop is located in the 16th century farm courtyard and opens it doors to all visitors. There, florists create majestic bouquets using flowers grown in on-site flower gardens and greenhouses. Planting changes every year and the flower garden is particularly remarkable in the summer.
